What ADS believes

Every child, teenager and adult is very special and should be treated as such.
Negative feedback affects self-esteem and confidence. By focusing on what the person does well, they will over time do more of that and less of what they don’t.
A supportive environment lends itself to taking more risks and therefore becoming more relaxed and creative.
Self-belief, confidence and feeling relaxed leads to high quality acting.
Every person has their own unique personality and character to bring to their acting style.
Children and teenagers make great teachers and can help each other to learn.
Children are motivated and feel empowered when they take responsibility for their own learning.
Children all learn differently, although many children learn well when they are on their feet, active and having fun.

Services that ADS offers:

Musical Theatre classes - singing, dancing and acting in one class for children and youth. More here on Musical Theatre classes.

Holiday Program - all day specialised workshops for children and youth focusing on film and television. Youth workshops have special guest teachers from the film and television industry, for example successful actors, directors and casting agents. More here on holiday program.

Weekend Workshops - specialised intensive workshops for adults. Adult workshops are run by special guest teachers from the film and television industry, for example successful actors, directors and casting agents. More here on weekend workshops.

Acting Agency - agent for children, teenagers and adults. Acceptance through application. More here on Action Acting Agency.

Private Acting Coaching - small group or one-to-one coaching sessions for primary, youth and adults. Sessions can be for accelerated skill development or audition preparation. Contact ADS to arrange private coaching sessions.

Private Singing Lessons - small group or one-to-one coaching sessions for primary, youth and adults. Sessions can be for accelerated skill development or audition preparation. Contact ADS to arrange private singing lessons.

Professional Development for Teachers (coming in 2013) - all day professional development for classroom or specialist teachers. Inquiry learning through drama or specialised drama courses e.g. producing the school concert, teaching acting for Film and TV.

Drama Camp (coming in 2013) - 3 day drama camp for youth.
